Buccal & Brow-Lift: Advanced Facial Rejuvenation Techniques

This hands-on continuing education course explores advanced, non-invasive facial massage techniques designed to lift, sculpt, and rejuvenate the face from the inside out. Practitioners will learn the art and science of buccal (intraoral) massage combined with targeted brow lifting methods to release deep muscular tension, enhance circulation, and restore natural facial contour.

Through guided instruction, students will develop skills to safely and effectively work within the oral cavity to access deeper facial structures, including the masseter, buccinator, and surrounding musculature. External techniques will focus on lifting and opening the brow area, reducing tension patterns that contribute to lines, heaviness, and fatigue.

Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) is a powerful technique that blends stretching and active engagement to improve flexibility, increase range of motion, and enhance neuromuscular efficiency. When integrated into massage therapy, PNF can help clients release chronic tension, recover from injury, and move with greater ease.

Participants will learn:

  • The science behind PNF and its effects on muscles, fascia, and the nervous system.

  • Step-by-step techniques for safely applying PNF stretches with clients.

QL to Knees - A vortex of issues

The kinetic chain from the diaphragm, quadratus lumborum (QL) through the hips, thighs, and into the knees is often at the root of low back pain, hip instability, and lower-body dysfunction. By understanding the interconnectedness of these structures, massage therapists can create more effective treatment strategies that address both pain and movement restrictions.

  • Anatomy and biomechanics of the diaphragm, QL, pelvis, thighs, and knees.

  • How restrictions in the QL and hip stabilizers influence knee mechanics and gait.

Thoracic Outlet - Master of disguise

Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS) is a complex condition caused by compression of nerves and blood vessels between the neck, shoulder, and chest. Clients often experience pain, tingling, numbness, or weakness in the arms and hands—symptoms that can be challenging to address without a thorough understanding of the anatomy involved. Restorative Bodywork CE

Restorative Bodywork is a combination of relaxing and supported yoga poses with hands on massage. Each pose is held for around 5-7 minutes while a massage therapist comes around and performs therapeutic massage on different parts of the body.

This modality is a gentle, nurturing approach designed to calm the nervous system, release tension, and create space for healing. Unlike deep or corrective work, restorative techniques focus on supporting the body’s natural ability to relax and reset, making this approach an essential complement to more therapeutic modalities.

Participants will learn:

  • Principles of restorative touch and the role of the parasympathetic nervous system.

  • Gentle techniques to soothe fascia, ease muscular holding patterns, and promote deep relaxation.

  • How to integrate breath, positioning, and stillness into sessions for maximum effect.
