Muscle Energy Techniques & MyoFascial Release for the Upper Back & Shoulders

Muscle Energy Technique (MET) is a manual therapy that uses the gentle muscle contractions of the patient to relax and lengthen muscles and normalize joint motion.

In this workshop we will take a look at the various structures that make up the shoulders and upper back. You’ll learn different yoga poses that strengthen and stretch to help with shoulder tightness, combat poor posture, and that will help relieve pain in your upper back, neck, and shoulder blades.

We’ll also learn how to stretch deeper and work with neuromuscular pathways to help relax the central nervous system so you can relax tight muscles and go further.

In addition to yoga poses, we will also be using tennis balls, lacrosse balls, and foam rollers to help with self massage for different parts of the shoulder girdle and upper back.

No previous yoga experience required!

This fitness-based approach to a Power Vinyasa style class will focus on linking conscious breath with a vigorous and mindful flow. Infant Massage Workshop

This is a 2 hour workshop to learn how to massage your infant. You will learn how to soothe gas, colic, ear aches, and so much more!

There will be time to have open discussions and conversations, without judgement, about early childhood behaviors, parenting, and more. This workshop is open to any and all moods of baby and parent or caregiver. Crying is a natural and common state for infants and is always welcome and encouraged in each class. There will be plenty of breaks during the workshop to help with comforting your infant, feeding times, changing diapers and anything else that may come up within the 2hrs. A large part of this workshop is about relaxation and centering yourself to respond to your infant's individual needs.

Each parent/caregiver will get a bottle of nut-free, hypoallergenic, plant-based, cold-pressed, unscented oil to use for massage during the course and at home.

Not a parent yet, but expecting?? You are also welcome! Just bring a plush body doll to practice on for classes. 

Price is $40 per family

Join us for a special kind of detox and retox at Zoiglhaus Brewing, as we gather with Stephanie for a foam rolling session. In this class you'll learn techniques for using a foam roller to help relieve pain in your back, hips, and body. 

If you have your own foam roller, please bring it. Don't have a foam roller? Not a problem. We have a few you can borrow - we’ll just need to know in advance so we can bring enough for everyone. After class, we'll enjoy a pint of Zoiglhaus beer.
